Torn and broken jeans

With pair of jeans I was given that were torn up the leg, I managed to construct two tops. Here is quite an abstract design with the original waist band being re-placed at as the band of my to. I kept the original pocket to create a bit of a centre piece to the top- still very much functional. I like the fact that because I tore the jeans up into lots of different pieces it has created a mismatch in shades of blue.

Torn and Broken Jeans

The second top I constructed from the same pair of jeans. I kept the original coin pocket as a detail to the top to add character and originality.

Stained White Shirt

This shirt was constructed with 2 old school shirts which were stained in different places. I created a double collar which you can wear in four ways- collars up, buttoned up, unbottoned and folded. The sleeves have been flipped around to create more of a flared appearance.

Ripped Dinner Suit Jacket

This was a ripped up dinner suit jacket that had been given to me which I again, fully cut up into segments. I then patched worked the pieces working around the mannequin to create a fitted look. As it was a lowlight colour I decided to embroid some star shapes on my free-hand machine to add some decor.

Torn Shirt

This was a torn up pin-strip shirt given to me. I cut it up into abstract shapes and then worked with the mannequin to create a flattering shape around the bust.
